At Great Falls Eyecare, our opticians will recommend the lens choice based on your prescription and frame shape. Specialty lenses are available to enhance the optics and give you the sharpest of vision. Our office will take time to discuss advantages of several materials like:
- High Index (thinner and lighter) material makes strong prescriptions attractively thin.
- Aspheric lenses are a design that thins and can flattens out prescriptions that “bulge” or magnify looking more natural.
- Anti-reflective coatings improve vision by reducing glare, reflections and halos experienced at night and overhead lighting as well as create a nicer cosmetic appearance.
- Polarized sunglasses are excellent for outdoor sport enthusiasts as well as drivers. The polarized lens reduces glare from water, snow and highway reflections. They provide a clearer view and eliminate glare.
- Transition lenses have been significantly improved as they quickly darken and lighten according to light exposure.
