Eye Examination:

See what our thorough exams include…

Dr. Runke and Dr. Anderson spend approximately 45 minutes with each patient to do a thorough eye examination which includes patient history, visual acuity, pupillary responses, eye movements, refraction of the eyes, binocular vision testing, accommodation, eye health, visual fields screening and glaucoma testing.

Contact lens examinations are a specialty field of the doctors.  Careful measurement of the curvature of the front of the eye, iris diameter and tear quality are done to ensure the proper fit of the contact lenses.  They especially enjoy fitting contacts for those with astigmatism and bifocal lenses!

Our optometrists also…
  • Treat eye disease with medicines and eye drops
  • Treat injury to the eye
  • Are more cost effective than an emergency room

Laser Correction:
Discover more about laser…

The most common laser vision correction used today is LASIK which means to reshape the cornea without disturbing the nearby tissue of the eye.  LASIK can correct for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.  Everyone’s eyes are different, and not everyone is suited for refractive surgery.  A big part of our optometrist’s expertise lies in determining whether or not you are a candidate.  The doctors work in conjunction with surgeons to ensure the best possible results and provide the pre and post surgery visits.  They take great care to carefully monitor your eyes.  Call us for an evaluation to see if you are a candidate if you are thinking about LASIK.

On-site Glasses Lab:
We make and repair your glasses on site…

Prescription glasses are made on site in our optical lab using a state-of-the-art, fully automatic lens edger and can often be done as a same day service.  Our opticians bring over 40 years of experience in making and repairing glasses.  As an additional service they adjust, tighten and clean glasses purchased from the office at no charge.  They pay strict attention to detail and aim to provide exceptional service.

Frame Selection:
Get help from an experienced optician…

Our staff does an excellent job in helping select frames for the patient’s face.  Our opticians have years of experience helping patients with frame selection.  Much thought and consideration goes into selecting the correct frame for your face and your prescription.  Choosing the right frame will be a top priority and we can make it fun!
